Sherrie is very supportive of the Prime Minister’s announcement today to provide a further 19 Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) by 2025. Our Conservative Government will be opening 160 of these one-stop-shops across the Country which will be providing over one million tests, checks and scans to tens of thousands of patients.
Sherrie says ‘’This announcement is fantastic news for patients and their families. In the wake of the Covid pandemic, our NHS has faced an unprecedented challenge to address the backlog and bring down waiting times for patients, including cancer screening and MRI scans. The £2.3 billion the Government is investing in these One Stop Shops is a clear message that the Conservatives are committed to bringing down NHS waiting lists, recognising the importance of prevention and ensuring the people of our Country are able to access life saving checks and receive the care they need in good time.’’
Our Conservative Government’s Elective Recovery Plan, is delivering on our promise to cut NHS waiting lists and is part of the biggest catch-up programme in the NHS’ history.
